Sometimes the strangest ideas pop into my head while I’m sitting in my garden.
A few days ago, I was on my porch with a cup of rose ice tea, looking at my roses, when I suddenly wondered…
What if Jane Austen were sitting here beside me and, instead of writing another novel, we started browsing Amazon together?
I know… it’s a completely ridiculous thought.
But once it crossed my mind, I couldn’t stop imagining it.
I picture us chatting about gardens, books and roses while quietly scrolling through pages of linen skirts, comfortable Mary Jane shoes, woven handbags and beautiful editions of Pride & Prejudice. I have a feeling she’d ignore anything trendy and choose pieces that felt timeless, practical and quietly elegant.
The only thing I insisted on adding to our shopping basket was a Pride & Prejudice graphic T-shirt from Tees.ca. I like to think she would have smiled politely, looked at it for a moment and admitted that perhaps even a nineteenth-century novelist could appreciate a good graphic tee.
