Luxury Regenerative Face Oil for Mature Skin & Acne Scars

Amber glass dropper bottle surrounded by rose quartz crystals and lavender on natural linen fabric in soft sunlight

I wanted to create a face oil using some of the oils I trust most and already use in my routine.

Instead of following a fixed formula, I focused on combining a few ingredients that feel supportive for the skin — especially when it comes to hydration, elasticity, and the appearance of older acne scars.

Rosehip and pomegranate became the base because they’re both rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, and they tend to work well together. From there, I added a small amount of essential oils to support the overall blend.

The result is a richer, more concentrated oil that feels nourishing without being heavy.

Bottle Size

Use a 30 ml (1 oz) dark glass dropper bottle.
Dark glass helps protect the oils from light and keeps them fresh longer.

Carrier Oils (Base)

Add to the bottle:

  • Rosehip oil — 15 ml (½ bottle)
Known for supporting skin regeneration and helping improve the appearance of scars.
  • Pomegranate seed oil — 8 ml
Rich in antioxidants that help support elasticity and mature skin.
  • Argan oil — 5 ml
Nourishing oil rich in vitamin E that helps soften and protect skin.
  • Jojoba oil — 2 ml
Helps balance skin oils and stabilizes the blend.

Essential Oils

Add 17 drops total:

  • Frankincense — 5 drops
Traditionally used in skincare to support skin tone and firmness.
  • Carrot seed — 4 drops
Often used in formulations for mature or sun-damaged skin.
  • Geranium — 3 drops
Helps balance skin and improve overall appearance.
  • Lavender — 3 drops
Known for its soothing and calming properties.
  • Neroli — 2 drops (optional luxury addition)
Often used in high-end skincare for its rejuvenating qualities.

If neroli is not available, you can add 2 additional drops of frankincense.

For this blend, I personally prefer using organic Plant Therapy essential oils and organic Cliganic carrier oils because I’ve found them to have a cleaner, softer, and more natural feel compared to many other brands I’ve tried.

How to Prepare

  1. Add the carrier oils to a 30 ml dropper bottle.
  2. Add the essential oils drop by drop.
  3. Close the bottle and shake gently for about 30 seconds.
  4. Allow the blend to rest for 3–5 days before first use so the oils combine fully.

How to Use

Apply once daily in the evening.

  1. Cleanse your face.
  2. Leave skin slightly damp or apply toner/hydrosol first.
  3. Place 3–4 drops of oil into your palms.
  4. Warm gently between hands.
  5. Press lightly into the skin, focusing on areas with scars or uneven texture.

Massage gently upward for about 30 seconds.

Storage

Store the bottle in a cool, dark place.
When stored properly, the blend should stay fresh for 6–8 months.

I also created a simple eye balm using a similar blend of oils for more targeted care around the eyes.

Optional Crystal Infusion Ritual

If you enjoy working with crystals, you can turn the serum into a simple personal beauty ritual by placing the closed bottle beside a cleansed rose quartz or clear quartz crystal for a few hours or overnight.

Before placing it down, hold the bottle in your hands for a moment, take a few slow breaths, and set a gentle intention for the blend. This can be something simple such as calmness, self-care, renewal, confidence, softness, or balance.

I personally prefer keeping the ritual simple and peaceful rather than overly structured. Soft lighting, quiet music, or evening stillness can make the process feel even more grounding and intentional.

Always keep crystals outside the bottle and avoid placing stones directly into skincare products unless they are specifically considered safe for cosmetic use.

Optional Reiki Energy Infusion

If you practice Reiki or energy work, you can also optionally infuse the serum with a calming intention before use.

After preparing the blend, hold the closed bottle gently between your hands for a few moments. During this time, focus on a clear and positive intention such as restoration, self-love, emotional balance, inner calm, or healthy glowing skin.

Some people like to use Reiki symbols, meditation, prayer, or quiet visualization during this process, while others simply sit quietly and focus on gratitude and positive energy.

There is no “correct” way to do this — the intention behind the ritual is often more important than the process itself.
